Short description of yourself: I am an experienced counsellor and therapist with a Dphil degree in Social work who have worked in the academic field as well as in a corporate environment for many years. For the last 12 years I am in a private practice consulting to companies on work issues and counselling individuals and couples. My special interest is the “world of work” and the impact this has on the life of people from choosing the right career, to finding your niche in the workplace, managing workplace stress and last but not least the impact of job loss whether though retrenchment or retirement. I am licensed NBI practitioner which means that I may use the Neethling Brain Instruments to do brain profiling and measure brain preferences. I regularly present workshops on the social and psychological issues relating to retirement as well as workshops to women who find it difficult to establish their own identities separate from being a mother and somebody’s spouse.
